Clear view of helicopter spending; yeah right?

The Saturday front page article “Rescue trust keeping mum over payments” raises a few eyebrows. If any trust grovels for funding from ratepayers and these funds are imposed by council as compulsory targeted rates, then surely the Trustees would think it appropriate for the funders to be informed of where the money is spent.

Collins Dictionary explains ‘trust’ as; confidence, firm belief, rely on, believe in, expect, hope and consign for care. It also defines ‘trustee’ as; one legally holding property for another. Gentlemen some of your replies ‘quoted’ certainly don’t give the transparency expected of up- standing citizens, or are they hiding some relevant facts that should indeed be available to the donors?
